If your brakes aren’t performing quite as well as they should, most service facilities will just change the pads or disks.
Although this will solve the problem, the costs involved in replacing brakes on supercars can be quite high. Disks alone on a Murcielago can costs £1000′s.
We can now offer a brake “refurb”, to help prolong the life of your disks and pads, and improve the performance of your brakes.
As shown on this Porsche 996 Turbo brake disk, the drilled holes can sometimes get clogged up with brake dust.
To remedy this, we re-drill the holes to ensure they are clean and open.
Next, the disks are sand blasted to clean them thoroughly of any corrosion and markings.
When they are done, they look much better.
A coat of high temperature paint on the exterior of the disk, and they look brand new again.
When the disks are fitted back onto the car, we then skim the surface of them with our special brake skimming machine.
This removes any imperfections on the disks surface, and make stem perfectly flat so the pads can grip them properly.
While we are carrying out this work on the disks, we strip the calipers and give them a full refurb too.
They are sand-blasted down to bare metal, then repainted in a colour of your choice by our professional bodyshop.
All bolted back together, they look brand new and stop you just like supercar brakes should!
