We were asked to prepare a Ferrari 612 Scaglietti to concourse standards recently, a great challenge for our service team.
Although the car was incredibly clean to begin with, there is always another level that we can take these cars to.
The undertrays were removed and cleaned, this then gave us a better view of the components.
All suspsnsion components were removed and thoroughly cleaned, as were the hubs and brakes. We even cleaned the inside of the brake disks!
The front bumper was removed, all radiators cleaned and painted. All brackets and metal components were cleaned of corrosion and re-painted.
All undertray bolts were replaced with stainless steel bolts.
All brackets in the engine bay were cleaned of any corrosion and painted.
Any corroded bolts in the engine bay were removed and replaced with new stainless steel bolts.
All exhaust bracket bolts were replaced with stainless steel bolts.
The exhaust tips were polished.
The oil cooler was removed, any corrosion cleaned away and repainted.
The end result is a Ferrari that has got to be the cleanest one outside of the museum in Maranello.
The hours that were put into this car means we cant carry out this sort of preparation to every car we sell, although we can do it for customers on request.
